Trainer: Richard Posselt is a pianist accordionist. For several years he has specialized in Brazilian music first with forro, then chorro. He went to study in Rio de Janeiro with some of the best current players in the genre: Bebe Kramer, Hamilton de Holanda, Luis Barcelos, Eduardo Neves, Rogério Caetano, Luciano Maia, Marcelo Caldi… He teaches in Jazz Action Valence, and gives workshops at "The Laborieux Du Dépliant", a non profit organization he funded.
Audience: All ages, all levels
Content: Forró is a traditional music and dance from the North Eastern part of Brazil. Forro instruments are the triangle, the accordéon and the zabumba (big flat drum) and sometimes also the pandeiro (kind of a drum). Most of the time, the musicians also sing. Dominguinhos, Jackson do Pandeiro, Genival Lacerda, and Luiz Gonzaga are among the most well known forro musicians. In the workshop we will study different rhythms (Xote, baião, Xaxado, Arrasta-pé… ) on accordion of course but also on percussions. A fun and very concrete way to understand and play this music.

familiariser avec le style brésilien, tzigane, zydeco et celtique. Développer votre palette de jeu en abordant de façon simple et ludique un répertoire ouvert sur la musique du monde. Travailler des thèmes et mettre en place une interprétation pertinente qu'elle soit festive, improvisée ou reproduite. Pout tout instrument et tout niveau.
Formateur: Ludovic BEIER est un des plus grands accordéonistes de jazz manouche en France. Il s’est imposé mondialement au côté du guitariste Angelo Debarre. Au fil de ses tournées, il rencontre James Carter, Joe Lovano et Tom Scott et s’illustre, dans les plus grands clubs de jazz américains, aux côtés de Toots Thielemans, Herbie Hancock, Eliane Elias, le Django All Stars ... En France, il accompagne Melody Gardot, Thomas Dutronc et Guy Marchand pour lequel il compose et arrange son dernier album “Né à Belleville”. Ludovic Beier prête aussi ses talents de compositeur et d’arrangeur au monde du cinéma et de la télévision. Son dernier album d’accordéon solo « Made in black » vient de paraître. Ludovic Beier est détenteur du Prix Gus Viseur et du Prix Francis Baxter et a un diplôme de Master Universitaire sur le Jazz Manouche.

Content: Familiarize yourself with brazilian, gypsy, zydeco and celtic music. Whatever your level is, this masterclass will allow you to broaden your playing by approaching a world music repertoire in a fun way. You will work on various themes playing them uptempo, improvising or playing transcribed versions.
Trainer: Ludovic Beier is a world known jazz accordionist. He has played with Stochelo Rosenberg, Angelo Debarre, Dorado Schmitt, San Severino, Thomas Dutronc and Guy Marchand to name a few. He has a PHD in Gypsy Jazz.

Schedule : 3 full days starting at 10 am on the first day and finishing at 6:30pm on the third day.
